Q: Do all the members of a team for NAKSHATRA/ROCK-IT have to register for the event seperately?
A: Yes, everyone has to register seperately for the conference irrespective of the events they wish to take part in. Once registered, he/she can participate in any of the events of the conference.
Q: What are the last dates for submission of abstracts?
A: Last date for abstract submission for NAKSHATRA: 10th August 2007
Last date for abstract submission for Moon Rover Competition: 10th August 2007
Last date for abstract submission for Space Ventura: 10th September 2007
Q: Is it necessary to pay the cash before abstract submission for any of the competitions?
A: No, you can pay up after the abstract submission too but you must register online beforehand. Also, in order to avail of discount in the registration fee, your DD must reach us on or before 20th August.
Q: Do I have to pay money for each event that I would like to participate in?
A: No, registering once makes you a delegate of the conference and you can enroll yourself for competitions later as per your interest.
Q: What is the last date of registration for SEDSIC?
A: There is as such, no last date for registration for SEDSIC ’07. If you register late, you may not be able to participate in certain competitions but can attend any of them.
Q: Does the course and department of my present study matter in order to participate in the conference?
A: No, anyone can participate in SEDSIC irrespective of their /course.
Q: Is there any eligibility criterion for attending the conference?
A: Anyone who confirms his/her identity as a student can participate in the conference.
Q: What is the format for abstract submission for NAKSHATRA?
A: Please, refer to our “Call for Papers” page in the website. All information regarding abstract submission is given there.
Q: What about format of final paper/poster?
A: The details regarding these will be informed to the selected candidates once reviewing is done and the results are published on the website -20th Aug, 2007.
Q: Should the paper/poster be in the format of research paper with full fledged experimental data and all?
A: No, the papers need not be in research format. The paper should give an idea or concept of the topic in detail. This concept can be a solution to an existing problem spanned by the topic or a new idea itself. Innovation is not a must, though it would be an added advantage.
Q. What are the charges for accommodation?
A. The tariff for the rooms are displayed in the website itself. Upon your confirmation, you will be provided with rooms for which you have to pay out.
Q. Will any transport be arranged from the place of accommodation to the venue of the conference?
A. Yes, we do provide the transport facility from the place of accommodation to the venue both morning and evening for the two days during the conference for the delegates.
Q. Is there any transport facility provided to get to Vellore?
A. We may provide transport facility to the international delegates to reach Vellore once they reach Chennai by themselves.
