SEDS-Earth is the international chapter of Students for the Exploration and
Development of Space (SEDS). There are chapters of SEDS
around the world: India, USA, Nigeria, UK, Philippines, and more; see the full list.
SEDS-Earth is a central node for communication between these worldwide
chapters.
How can you participate? First, see the list of chapters
to see a chapter already exists in your region. If not, it is
recommended that you start a chapter; see the instructions
on SEDSWiki.
If you are interested in participating in SEDS-Earth and
interacting with student leaders around the world, please use the
following methods:
SEDS International Conference (SEDSIC) 2008
UKSEDS is
hosting the 3rd International SEDS Conference (SEDSIC) on the 28th of
September at the Scottish Exhibition Centre in Glasgow. SEDS branches
are situated all over the world and together represent a global network
of like-minded people with a unified belief in the potential of Space.
This is unique and admirable. It is also something that can be easily
utilized for extensive global cooperation. SEDSIC is a means to make
this happen as well as to further strengthen the SEDS network and to
exchange ideas. The conference will consist of presentations from
global SEDS branches on their history and current activities. It will
also include presentations by key players in the Space industry and by
students involved in international Space-related projects. There will
be opportunities to network at a buffet lunch and an evening event. To
secure a place at SEDSIC please inform UKSEDS Education Officer Max
Beaumont (education@uk.seds.org)
of your interest by the 15th of September.
Please fill out the registration form and submit it to Max
Beaumont if you are planning to attend SEDSIC.
